From October 14 to 18, Shooting House actively took part in Softweek 2024, an event organized by the Software Engineering program at Centro Universitário Campo Real, in partnership with technology and innovation companies from Guarapuava.
With a varied program, the event brings together activities that encourage the practical application of knowledge. Inspired by the Star Wars universe, this year’s edition created an engaging, themed atmosphere.
This was Shooting House‘s third participation in Softweek, reinforcing its collaboration and contribution to the event and the community. In 2024, SH featured three presentations:
- Demystifying DevOps: Docker and Laravel Sail
Presented by: Isabela Taques Vitek and Lígia Falcão – Shooting House Development
In this session, participants learned how to use Docker with Laravel, covering the creation of containers for the application and database. In addition to setting up the environment with a Dockerfile and using docker-compose.yml to orchestrate services, essential commands were presented to ensure efficient synchronization between the local environment and the containers.
- Flutter: An App for Stock Market Analysis
Presented by: Lucas Jacó and Vinicius Blecha – Shooting House Development
This talk introduced the basic concepts of Dart and Flutter, leading students to develop a small app that made online requests to fetch stock market data. Beyond exploring the use of APIs, it covered UI principles, integration with external libraries and good development practices.

- GitHub Copilot: Because copy and paste is no longer enough!
Presented by: Anderson Scherdovski and Pedro Henrique Boiko – Shooting House Development
Participants learned about the impact of GitHub Copilot on modern programming. The tool goes beyond simple “copy and paste”, suggesting smart code snippets that speed up development and increase productivity.
Besides diving into current topics in the IT and development world, the audience took the opportunity to interact with experts and expand their network. Once again, Softweek brought professionals and companies together, encouraging networking and the exchange of ideas.
